LTE L1/L2 Modem Integration and Test Engineer                                                           Feb 2015 - Current

 

FDD and TDD feature for enhancement on eNB baseband L1/L2 involving PUSCH DTX detection on Uplink Grant Retransmission and RACH msg3 DTX detection.

·   Manage feature release test strategy and test set-ups for integrating, testing and validating/diagnosing the modem level (LTE Layer 1 and Layer 2) defects based on the feature requirements.

·   Executing the assigned test cases on target, reducing development debug time by identifying the exact cause for the modem issues by having good technical communication with the System Engineers/ Feature Architect and the development team.

·   Keeping track of all the CR's (defect-tracking) opened for the issues and validating them on various designer eNB  patches provided by the development team on its fix.

·   Bringing up ALU eNB's on both TDD and FDD from scratch as a part of modem pre-integration test as well as configuring the modem messages based on the feature requirements.

·   Configuring RRH for the eNB's and analyzing its signal level for maximum modem level UL-DL throughput required for the base test case.

·   Capturing, analyzing, and providing modem level logs (L1 and L2) based on specific test scenario to the development team for debugging purposes.

·   Creating TM500-Aeroflex scripts to simulate various testing scenarios. Also capturing and analyzing TM500 logs and communicating with the third party vendor Aeroflex team on script and the UE simulator issues.

LTE Project for Government and Public Safety Infrastructure and Devices

Responsible for Interoperability end-to-end system test for MSI UE's and Ericsson's RAN and the EPC system network. Quality test on various features of the LTE systems, debug errors, report them to development and filing SR’s, and also work closely with development team to debug issues. Set up network for all the systems running on Linux operating systems. Training people on LTE architecture, support field trails.

·   Expert in Interoperability testing (IOT) for Motorola Public Safety LTE UE devices with Ericsson’s LTE System Network.

·   Certifying 4G LTE devices Data throughput (3GPP Band 14/13), LTE Signaling Protocol Conformance 36.523 and Data Retry. Assisted in LTE IMS Registration and IMS Registration Retry testing.

·   Manage feature release test strategy and test set-ups for Testing, Validation and Integration. Also executing the test cases on target and at the same time analyzing the logs and reporting the bugs after log analysis. Skilled in doing End to End Testing for LTE system.

·   Testing and debugging device and network performance and end-to-end testing based on LTE Call Flow as per the 3GPP standards.
